Geo Hess (UK) Ltd was founded in 1996 in response to the UK Landfill Industries need to find an alternative daily landfill cover to that of traditional, and outdated, clay and soil cover mediums.
With the ever increasing costs of waste disposal through associated landfill taxes and the strict operational requirements of the European Landfill Directive, we recognized that the continued use of clay and soils as daily cover mediums was not sustainable in terms of the commercial, operational and environmental needs of modern day landfill operators.
Since the foundation of the company, our product range and operations have expanded from our Geo Hess Daily Landfill Cover being supplied solely in the UK, to a range of Alternative Daily Landfill Covers and a unique range of Woven, reinforced HDPE membranes (Geo Multi-Covers) being supplied throughout the world and we are now the biggest supplier of Alternative Daily Landfill Covers in Europe.
Our range of Geo Multi-Covers provide a new generation of geomembranes which are waterproof, resistant to weather erosion, impervious to rot, mildew and most chemicals.
The product displays very high strength properties in relation to its relative low weight and nominal thickness, and in fact displays equivalent strength properties of traditional membranes more than three times its thickness.
Geo Multi-Covers are available in pre-welded panels up to a maximum of 40mtrs wide x 150mtrs long.
Our range of Geo Multi-Covers have multiple applications including re-usable intermediate covers, re-usable temporary capping membranes and all other appropriate waterproofing, gas proofing and containment applications.
We have an extensive network of partners and agents across the world and in order to fit in with our ongoing development strategy, we are continually looking to break into new markets through local representation or direct sales into end users.
